 Works great, but I wish it didn't bleach out everything it touches! Aug 03, 2008
Like any product containing benzoyl peroxide, this stuff will bleach out fabric and even hair. I ruined an entire set of towels and bedding before I figured out what was causing it. HOWEVER, this cream does work better than any product out there. It gets rid of all kinds acne, from blackheads to pimples and big ol' zits. And it is much, much less harsh on the skin than other products containing benzoyl peroxide. I just wish I could use it regularly without having to worry about ruining my clothes, my boyfriend's clothes, the bedding, the couch, etc.
Like one reviewer said, it comes out of the bottle white and if you don't rub it in well enough, it'll dry that way and you'll be able to see it all over your face. So if you're doing anything other than going to bed with it on, rub it in well, check the mirror after it dries, and remember to wash your hands before you touch those dark-rinse jeans.

I bought this for my son's acne it really does work great when you use it after cleansing with a daily acne facial cleanser! Great value for the price.It doesn't dry your skin out like some products do.

I have been using this product for 30 days now. I have been applying the product on multiple acne breakouts since then. But even after 4-5 days I saw no difference in the acne shape. It was sensitive as before.
Also this does not help in removing new scars as a result of acne.
Please note, that I strongly believe, such products work on some but not all. Before purchasing you must read all reviews. I did notice that this product worked on some, hence I had purchased it.

Excellent solution for acne Nov 17, 2007
I have used a solution of these two products Neutrogena On-the-Spot Acne Treatment, Vanishing Formula, .75-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 3) and Neutrogena Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment, Oil-Free Acne Wash, 9.1 fl oz (270 ml) Bottles (Pack of 3) and this have been the only thing that I have needed for have my face clean of acne for the last year.
I use the cream in the night before go to sleep and the soap gel for washing my face on the morning.
When you start using it you can use it more often if you want but is going to dry your face, I see results after 20 days.
A friend of mine also use it and she now have her face clean, it tooked more time to her but it cleared her face.
Excellent product overall!!!
Note: You have to use it EVERY DAY, the day that you don't use it, it is going to start appearing acne in your face, as long as you use it every day everything is fine.

I use this product every day and night to keep the acne away. My skin is so clear that I even got complimented on it by a Clinique lady at the mall. She said I had a great complexion! Little did she know a few years ago, I was self-conscious because of my pimples. It makes SUCH a big difference how people perceive you.
Proactive is pretty pricey and Murad destroyed my skin! Good thing Neutrogena has quality products for the fraction of the price.
